Our Work.

At the heart of our work is the application of behavioral science to drive meaningful change across organizations.

We leverage evidence-based strategies to enhance training effectiveness, optimize leadership development, and foster organizational culture. From improving manager 1:1 conversations and implementing psychological safety frameworks to designing comprehensive leadership alignment programs, our solutions are tailored to address the unique challenges of each team.

By using behavioral insights to prime, nudge, and empower individuals, we help organizations build stronger, more cohesive teams, align around shared goals, and execute strategies with greater impact. Our work spans across industries and challenges, always focused on delivering measurable results and sustainable growth.

Leadership Development Training with Behavior Science

Following a comprehensive needs assessment, an L&D advisor sought to create a bespoke leadership development program tailored specifically for disenfranchised general service staff. Recognizing the need to engage and empower this group, we designed a curriculum rooted in the organization’s framework and guided by behavioral science principles, particularly learning identity and norms-driven learning environments.

The 9-week hybrid program combined virtual and in-person components, ensuring accessibility and flexibility while fostering a sense of connection and community. We focused on creating a supportive learning environment that encouraged participants to see themselves as capable leaders and align their development with the organization’s core values. Through targeted interventions, we nurtured their growth by integrating real-world challenges, peer learning, and personalized feedback.

The result was a transformative program that not only enhanced leadership capabilities but also fostered a sense of belonging and commitment among staff, empowering them to take an active role in shaping the future of the organization.

Fostering Psychological Safety with Behavior Science

The leadership team aimed to further optimize their organizational culture by introducing and embedding training on psychological safety. Recognizing its critical role in fostering trust, open communication, and high performance, they wanted to create a structured approach for implementing this initiative across the team.

We designed a 6-month program using behavioral science principles to prime and nudge the team toward embracing psychological safety. The curriculum was carefully crafted to introduce the 4 stages of psychological safety—ranging from inclusion safety to speaking up—and provide teams with the tools to assess their current level of psychological safety.

Through facilitated workshops, participants were guided to identify actionable steps to advance to the next stage, building a sustainable path toward a culture of greater trust and collaboration. This approach not only created a shared understanding of psychological safety but also empowered teams to take concrete steps forward in cultivating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

Enhancing 1:1 communication with Behavior Science priming

Managers were struggling with limited time and the right tools to run effective 1:1 meetings, while trust within the team was faltering. To address these challenges, we implemented a behavioral science-driven training program using the GRPI framework (Goals, Roles, Processes, and Interpersonal Relationships) and psychological safety principles.

We specifically applied priming techniques, such as setting clear expectations for open communication before each meeting, and nudges like reminders for managers to ask open-ended questions that promote transparency and vulnerability. These interventions helped managers foster trust and ensure their 1:1s were more focused, productive, and empathetic—leading to stronger relationships and improved team alignment.

Running a comprehensive Needs Assessment to prepare for Behavioral Science training

The leadership team faced challenges in aligning effectively, with siloed efforts and varying approaches hindering cohesive strategy execution. Their leader recognized the need to foster a shared language and strengthen collaboration to drive a unified vision. To address this, we first prepared a standardized needs assessment, ensuring we captured a comprehensive view of the team's dynamics and goals.

Through a series of in-depth interviews, we applied principles of organizational psychology to uncover not only the surface-level challenges but also the deeper, often overlooked elements impacting team cohesion. Analyzing the data, we identified key themes such as misalignment on goals, inconsistent communication practices, and a need for greater trust and collaboration.

These insights led to a refined problem statement for the training: the team required tools to enhance alignment, improve communication, and strengthen trust—enabling them to more effectively deliver on their shared strategic vision. With this understanding, we crafted a tailored program focused on bridging gaps and cultivating a more unified leadership approach.

Enhancing team workshops with behavioral science

Two teams were coming together under a new leader, with a shared goal of building a unified culture while ensuring strong engagement and alignment with business objectives. To support this process, we collaborated with the leader to design a series of workshops that utilized behavioral science to help the teams align on a new set of team norms.

Through guided discussions, we enabled the teams to explore their current values, uncover opportunities for growth, and collaboratively shape a culture based on trust, open dialogue, and shared commitment. By applying behavioral science techniques such as priming positive interactions and nudging toward collective accountability, we created a dynamic space for team members to engage in shaping their future together.

The result was a set of cohesive team norms that not only strengthened mutual respect and collaboration but also aligned the teams with the broader organizational vision, enhancing their engagement and commitment to achieving collective business goals.
